Wish Family Events

This year we would like to help wish kids and their siblings shop for their families. We have set up a "store" at the Wishing Star office, 139 S. Sherman. You can come down and pick out a special gift for the loved ones on your Christmas list.

All gifts are free of charge, made possible by generous community donors.

Wishing Star Christmas Store is open:
December 1-5, 10:30am-3:30pm
December 8-10, 10am-2pm
December 15-17, 10am-2pm
December 22-23, 10am-2pm

Evening Hours:
December TBD, 5:30-7:30pm

Welcome all wish families, volunteers, and donors to our Annual Carrousel Party.

8:30-10:30am

Ride the carrousel as many times as your belly will allow. Enjoy crafts and snacks and visit with friends.

Children enjoyed crafts, games, candy and prizes, hotdogs, and a special presentation from SFCC theatre group.

Thank you Jennifer Quashnick and April Thompson for all your hard work. Thank you Wishing Star and Spokane Christian Church volunteers for helping make this a wonderful, safe event for our Wishing Star children and the children of the Green Street neighborhood.

Wish Family Party, September 27
at the Fall Festival of Homes

Wishing Star celebrated the completion of the "House that Daniel Built" with a wish family party. We served hotdogs, chips and pop, made crafts and painted faces. What a wonderful time.

August 18, 12 wish kids and 20 friends/siblings painted piggy banks of assorted shapes. Each child also helped decorate 8 beautiful platters to be auctioned at the Spokane Home Builder's Association Benefit Dinner in November.
