WISHES IN THE WORKS

Wising Star is all about bringing hope, joy and strength to life-threatened children. Below are kiddos who have recited their wishes and we are working hard to grant them. These wishes are in the works. Read about their wishes and how you can help.

Wish Child: Hailey
Age: 17
Illness: Sub Acute Cutaneous Lupus
Details of wish: Hailey has a very positive outlook on life in spite of fighting Lupus symptoms for many years. She deals with pain and fatigue daily and never complains.

Wish Child: Ciara
Age: 6
Illness: Biliary Atresia
Details of wish: Ciara has undergone many hospital stays and surgeries in her life including a liver transplant. Her favorite things include Cinderella, dressing up like a princess and the colors pink and purple. It's no wonder that her wish is to visit Disneyworld.

Wish Child: Lauren
Age: 10
Illness: Cystic Fibrosis
Details of Wish: Lauren's biggest idol is Taylor Swift! So naturally her wish is to meet her! We are still working on setting up a meeting for Lauren. In the mean time, we are hoping to raise enough money to cover the costs of this once in a lifetime trip.

Wish Child: Keith
Age: 18
Illness: Sarcoma
Details of Wish: Keith is an amazing trumpet player and has dreams of playing in college. Due to Keith's treatments, his arms and hands lost the ability to play his trumpet. He is working hard to gain back full use so he can play like he used to. A driving force is the hope that he will have a custom trumpet to play when he is better. Keith is starting college at the University of Washington this year.

Wish Child: Chloe
Age: 9
Illness: Pierre Robin Syndrome
Details of Wish: Like most little girls, Chloe loves the Justin Beiber phenomenon and would love to meet him! As of right now he isn't touring in the US so we have time to find a sponsor!

Wish Child: Taylor
Age: 15
Illness: Cerebral Palsy and Spastic Quadriplegic
Details of Wish: Taylor is wheelchair bound and spends a lot of his time on the family computer. With two older sisters in college and one in high school, he gets kicked off pretty often! He would love to have his own so he can work on his school work and games.

Wish Child: Tsigereda
Age: 12
Illness: Chronic Bronchitis
Details of Wish: Tsigereda has just been adopted and moved to Boise, Idaho. She is originally from Ethiopia and didn't understand the concept of a "wish". So after a few weeks of discussing what a wish is and could be, she decided she wanted a ball, Cinderella style!

Wish Child: Jaykob
Age: 6
Illness: Liver Failure
Details of Wish: Jaykob LOVES Spiderman and has wished to meet him at Universal Studios. He also wished to see sea lions, sharks, killer whales and octopuses. So while he is in Orlando he will also head over to SeaWorld!

Wish Child: Shayla
Age: 21
Illness: Aggressive Fibromitosis
Details of Wish: Shayla has always wished for that "Hollywood Smile". She wasn't blessed with healthy teeth and has always struggled with them. When we approached her about a wish, she knew exactly what she wanted...a smile makeover!
