BLANKIE PROGRAM
Touching the hearts of our local children!
The blankie program is very simple, yet one of our most loved programs. It is a special bridge across the generations.
Volunteers make Blankies in any size, shape, or color and with any yarn/fabric the volunteer wishes to use. We've distributed thousands of handmade blankets to children in area hospitals in Eastern Washington and Idaho.
Whenever possible, we also deliver blankets to police departments, fire stations, women's and children's shelters and more. Anywhere children may be who need a blankie, we will serve. Many times, when a child is removed from their familiar surroundings, the blankie is truly a comfort.
You Can Help With a Yarn or Fabric Drive
Your group or school can get involved.
We have many retired volunteers anxious to help by knitting, crocheting or quilting a special blanket. But they can't afford the necessary materials.
